When you visit the parish
and enter the doors you will experience a warm welcome, gracious
hospitality, and genuine care – all built around receiving
one another as Christ received us: in strength and weakness, and
diversity of social status, stage of life, and cultural identity.
Atonement offers worship, education, and community building activities
to meet the need of spiritual formation and expression in the lives
we live, the relationships we form, and the communities we share.
Worship follows a liturgy of Word and sacrament with a blend of
traditional and modern music. God’s grace is central in the
message inviting one to experience and grow in the Spirit through
Christ; an unchanging message in an ever changing world.
Education explores our inner journey in struggle and joy directing
our hearts and minds beyond ourselves to God, to stand outside ourselves
without ceasing to be ourselves.
As a community of faith, people come together bonded in the Spirit
by faith rather than human experience or ideal. Activities at Atonement
done individually or as an organization are not seen as our own
but a loving response to the spiritual love that Christ has first
shown us. Welcome to Atonement.
